Battle of the Baggers, Laguna Seca

I had the pleasure of attending the Motoamerica Battle of the Baggers race this weekend.

It amazes me what they can do with these big heavy bikes. Sure they are modified to make them lighter and more maneuverable but they are still baggers. Logan Lackey is my Harley-Davidson sponsored rider. I am thrilled to be a part of his sponsorship team. He is one of the top Stock Bike racers and stepped it up to race the GP series bikes this weekend. He will only get better and faster as he gets use to his brand new engine and upgrades his bike. He takes pride that everything on his bike can be purchased over the counter at his employer, Iron Steed Harley-Davidson

I also got to spend some time talking to Patricia Fernandez. She is the only female rider on the tour and you can tell instantly that she is fast no matter what she is racing. She placed 5th in the Hooligan series with basically a stock bike and she is also placed 8th in the Bagger race. She rides for the Saddlemen Indian Motorcycle Race Team. I am looking forward to working with them on next year’s race season

Bottomline, If you have not had the chance to witness these races, do yourself a favor, and get out to a race. Nothing beats in person racing.
