January-March Educator of the Month
I have started a new award from the Cory Ellerbee Agency to honor local Educators. Because without them, we would all be lost. Of course I had to nominate my Dear Sister Lisa for the 1st Award because that is only right. She is the best teacher I know. Please email me at coryellerbee@gmail.com if you would like to nominate someone in Solano County to win this award. It can be anyone involved in education. Teachers, Administrators, school nurse, You get the idea. I will make them a plaque, give them a $100 Target gift card to use however they feel would best help their students and a $20 Chipotle gift card for lunch because Chipotle is the bomb.
“Proud Fairfield High School grad Lisa Ellerbee Gleaton’s career in education began with teaching sixth graders in East Palo Alto, in the fall of 1990. After three years, she moved on to teach both high school English and social studies courses in the Sequoia Union High School District on the peninsula. A career that has spanned twenty years in the classroom and ten in administration, including two years as principal of Carlmont High School, will end in June when she retires at the end of her thirtieth year. She remains in contact with two of her FHS teachers and countless former students of her own. At the end of what she describes as “a highly enjoyable career,” I am proud to honor Lisa with our first Educator of the Month award. Congratulations Lisa!”
